WITHIN TEMPTATION: 'Frozen' Single Detailed

Dutch female-fronted symphonic metal band WITHIN TEMPTATION has issued the following update:

"We're currently in the States and found out through our forum that there's been some confusion on the release dates of 'Frozen' and 'The Howling' [singles]. So here goes.

Germany/Austria/Switzerland - June 22 (digital only in Switzerland)
France - June 18
Finland - June 11
Poland - June 25
Netherlands & Belgium - June 11

"The above countries will have actual singles in stores; all other countries will be releasing the singles on June 11 through digital download portals.

"The U.K. is releasing 'The Howling' digitally on June 11. For all our U.K. fans: we will have pretty exciting news during the Download Festival which concerns us coming back to the U.K. Stay posted on that!

"As you might not know yet, this is the tracklisting for the 'Frozen' single:

"A two-track containing:

01. Frozen (single version)
02. The Howling (single version)

"A five-track EP containing:

01. Frozen (single version)
02. The Howling (single version)
03. Sounds of Freedom (prev. unreleased)
04. What Have You Done (acoustic)
05. The Cross (acoustic)
06. Frozen (video)
07. The Howling (video)

"The acoustic tracks were recorded at a Dutch radio show. 'Sounds of Freedom' is a track which we wrote especially for 'Spellborn' and hasn't been released yet.

"So all in all, a pretty cool package. And remember, we are donating the income we receive from our record company Sony/BMG for the 'Frozen' single to Child Helpline International."

Professionally filmed video footage of WITHIN TEMPTATION's May 26, 2007 performance at the Pinkpop festival in Holland has been posted at YouTube.

As previously reported, WITHIN TEMPTATION's video for the song "The Howling" has been posted at YouTube. The track comes off the group's new album, "The Heart of Everything", which came out in Europe in March (the CD will be released in the U.S. on July 24 via Roadrunner Records).

WITHIN TEMPTATION's video for the single "What Have You Done" is available for viewing at this location. The clip features a guest appearance by Keith Caputo of LIFE OF AGONY. Also available at YouTube is the video for the song "Frozen". According to a posting on the group's web site, the clip's storyline is based on events that take place at the turn of the 20th century, dealing with a pretty heavy subject: violence and abuse within a family.

WITHIN TEMPTATION released a limited-edition EP, "The Howling", in the U.S. on May 1, available exclusively at Hot Topic for the low price of $1.99.
